OMT
The study of the ways the muscles of the mouth and face function is called orofacial myology. If there are dysfunctions, the treatment to correct these is called orofacial myofunctional therapy.

Myofunctional Pre-Orthodontics
Myofunctional Preorthodontics relate to the early evaluation and intervention of the growth of the jaws by correcting the way the muscles of the mouth and face are used during functions, including feeding, chewing, swallowing, drinking, speaking, and breathing. If the muscles of the mouth and face are functioning optimally, then the jaws would develop and form favourably.

Tethered Oral Tissues (tongue and lip ties)
Having a tongue tie and/or lip tie can increase the risks of having a number of functional issues, at any age. These issues can affect feeding, speech, jaw development, breathing and even posture, to name a few.
